Voices Will Be Heard Following NBA Protest

Wednesday, August 26, games across pro sports were postponed, not because of coronavirus, but because athletes used their platform to speak up. The Curious Case of Sports During a Pandemic

The great people here at Under Review simulated and streamed the remaining regular season and playoff games of the Federal Prospects Hockey League.  NASCAR and IndyCar ran virtual races on iRacing with both praise (awesome driving) and controversy (rage quitting and unnecessary crashing).  Those races peaked my interest and I made sure to either watch them live or catch the races later on YouTube.  Cycling has gone virtual as well with riders using their exercise bikes and linking them to a program to race others.

What It's Like Attending A Race During COVID-19

On Wednesday July 15, 2020, NASCAR held it's premier All-Star event at Bristol Motor Speedway for the first time in it's history. This race was also big for NASCAR and sports in general for a different reason, this race was the largest attending sporting event since COVID-19 started. The Under Review staff of James Wilson, Brett Wiseman and myself attended the race and documented what we saw at the event and how prepared the track was for allowing fans back.

Noose or Not: NASCAR Shows Solidarity

Sunday morning at Talladega Superspeedway, a crew member on the No. 43 team driven by African-American driver Darrell "Bubba" Wallace found what appeared to be a noose hanging in the garage of the Richard Petty Motorsports machine. After an FBI investigation, it was determined on Tuesday that the "noose" was actually a pull rope to the garage door in the shape of a noose that had been there since last year.

Ranking & Grading New NFL Uniforms

Uniforms are one of the greatest things about sports.  They allow teams to graphically express their team identity, and they give the fans a sense of unity.  Six teams have new uniforms or uniform adjustments so far, and some hit the mark while others were just off.  The LA Rams are also rumored to be releasing new uniforms at some point, but they are unreleased at the time of writing so they will not be included in the rankings.

A Family Affair: The McCreary's

Flyers Legend Brian Propp Talks Impressive Career


Brian Propp is a 15 year NHL veteran who is arguably one of the best left wingers in NHL history. Propp has made five NHL All-Star games and five Stanley Cup finals. Could KAT Be Heading To The Eastern Conference?

When you ask me what I think of the Minnesota Timberwolves, I struggle to find an answer. They have had extremely talented players in the past years, but other struggles have slowed them down. While I believe Kevin Garnett was a great player. I do think that his loyalty to the Minnesota franchise cost him dearly. I also believe that Kevin Love would have been ultimately stopped from becoming the player to lead Minnesota to the promised land. It is unlikely that Love would have said no to an extremely lucrative contract from other contenders.

Marksmen Help to Legitimize SPHL

The Fayetteville Marksmen are having quite the successful 2019-20 season in the SPHL. They currently sit in third in the ten-team league, which so far has been their strongest showing on the ice under the ownership of Chuck Norris (not the Chuck Norris you're thinking of). Chaos Ensues In Thunderbirds, Enforcers Game

Flyers Stun Penguins 4-3 In 2019 Stadium Series

The 2019 Stadium Series between the Philadelphia Flyers and Pittsburgh Penguins was already set to be an intense rivalry game, what we got was an instant classic. The Penguins were up 3-1 in the 3rd period, then the Flyers rallied. In overtime, the Flyers Captain Claude Giroux scored the game winning, lifting the Flyers past the Penguins 4-3.
