As voted on by the fans late Friday night, Carson Wentz is the 2017 mid-season MVP. However, it’s only mid-season and there is still plenty of football to be played. By the end of last season Wentz and the Philadelphia Eagles finished their season with 7-9 record. At the halfway mark of this season the Eagles currently have a 7-1 record, the best in the NFL.

At the conclusion of last season, Wentz threw for 3782 yards, 16 touchdown and 14 interceptions. So far this season Wentz has thrown for 2063 yards, 19 touchdowns and 5 interceptions. Wentz has more touchdowns than Alex Smith and Tom Brady but Wentz also leads fellow MVP hopefuls in interceptions thrown.

Although with the Eagles high powered offense led by Carson Wentz, LeGarrette Blount, Alshon Jeffery and now with the addition of Jay Ajayi the Eagles look poised for a division title and strong playoff run. If the Eagles stay healthy Wentz has all the talent to become league MVP in just his second season.
