As the checkered flag was waved, Denny Hamlin captured his second Daytona 500 in 3 years. After all the chaos throughout the race, Hamlin found himself in the right place at the right time. Although he won the race, it wasn’t an easy task.

Hamlin scratched and clawed his way to the front of the pack with his Toyota teammates. Toyota dominated the race, leading the most laps by driver Matt Dibenedetto. Hamlin led 30 laps enroute to his 2nd Daytona 500 victory. With Sunday’s win, Hamlin tied Dale Jarrett with 32 wins in NASCAR’s premier series.

Hamlin looks to have another impressive performance this Sunday at Atlanta Motor Speedway at 2:00PM.
