Tuesday night was a roller coaster of emotions for fans of the Duke Blue Devils and Louisville Cardinals. The Blue Devils made an incredible comeback in the latter portion of Tuesday’s game. Duke erased a 25-point deficit in the second half to beat Louisville 71-69, helping Duke make a case to overthrow Tennessee as the No. 1 team in the country.

With 1:28 left to go, Duke’s Cam Reddish hit a 3-pointer to tie the game. With a few fouls in their favor, Duke managed to sink some free throws and 3-pointers to allow them to hold onto the lead in the final seconds.

Christen Cunningham tried to tie the game for Louisville, however his shot bounced off the rim and into the arms of Duke. Cam Reddish ended his night with 22 points, 16 of those came after halftime. RJ Barrett put up 13 points enroute to the victory.

Despite shooting a season low of 37% from the field, Duke managed to win it’s eighth straight game. Duke will be watching the Tennessee Volunteers game tonight against the South Carolina Gamecocks, hoping to take over the top spot in the AP rankings from Tennessee.
