Hornaday Jr. Talks Returning To Hall Of Fame Again

Charlotte, NC - NASCAR Hall of Fame Class of 2017 Inductee Ron Hornaday, was on hand at the red carpet at the NASCAR Hall of Fame. Sporting his signature ball cap with his suit, Hornaday appears to have not changed a bit.

Last year Hornaday was being inducted into the Hall of Fame, this year he returned for the first time as a Hall of Famer.

“This year is way easier than last year” Hornaday said to Under Review. “There’s no pressure, that red carpet I don’t have to worry about tripping on it. I don’t have to worry about who I’m going to thank. It’s quite an honor to be involved with the Hall of Fame, but the pressure’s off me this year. I feel much relief, it’s pretty cool.”

Hornaday claims it feels like another race when he’s visiting the Hall of Fame in Charlotte.

“Everytime I come back here it feels like another race, with the different people, the race fans, everybody at the Hall of Fame, it’s unbelievable how they treat us. It’s an ‘attaboy’ for all the things we’ve accomplished in our career. It’s pretty cool to see what NASCAR is doing.”

Hornaday is mostly known for his impressive success in the NASCAR Gander Outdoor Truck Series. Racking up 51 wins, 158 top-5’s, 234 top-10’s, 27 pole awards and 9,689 laps led, Hornaday is certainly where he belongs in the NASCAR Hall of Fame.
