As the game clock struck zero and the confetti started to fall, the Kansas City Chiefs would win their first Super Bowl in franchise history. 24 year old Patrick Mahomes rewrote history as well in his first Super Bowl.

Mahomes became the youngest player to win NFL MVP and Super Bowl MVP. Although he's not the youngest quarterback to win the Super Bowl, Mahomes in the youngest quarterback to throw over 200 yards in the Super Bowl. The state of Texas will also love to know that Mahomes is the first starting quarterback from a Texas University (Texas Tech) to start the Super Bowl and then became the first to eventually win the Super Bowl as well.

With just three seasons under his belt, Mahomes is a two-time Pro Bowler, 2018 Offensive Player of the Year, NFL MVP, Super Bowl LIV Champion/MVP. It's clear that the NFL needs to add more pages to the record book because Patrick Mahomes has a very bright future in the NFL.
