Saturday evening marked the start of the 2017 NFL playoffs. Wildcard weekend provides a lot of interesting matchups. This weekend gives the division leaders a week off but it also allows them to know who their opponents are going to be for the Divisional Round.

Titans vs Chiefs:
The Tennessee Titans shocked the Kansas City Chiefs Saturday night. At one point the Chiefs had a 21-3 lead against the Titans. However, constant mistakes and unusual calls allowed the Titans to beat the Chiefs 22-21.

Titans QB Marcus Mariota had a wild night. He threw for 205 yards, 2 touchdowns and 1 interception. This includes a wild play where Mariota threw the ball into the end zone only for it to be batted away. It appeared the play would be ruled incomplete, however Mariota caught the ball and it in the end zone himself. Practically catching his own pass and scoring.

Falcons vs Rams:
This matchup was highly anticipated. The defending NFC champions struggled to make the playoffs and were paired with the red hot LA Rams. However the Rams didn’t stand a chance as the Falcons won 26-13. Continuing their march to a second straight Super Bowl appearance.

Falcons QB and defending NFL MVP Matt Ryan threw for 218 yards and 1 touchdown.
